Good News for Diploma Students studying in various Polytechnic colleges of Goa ! !

The secretary of Board of Technical Education  Shri. N.V.T pednekar has taken initiative to provide certified copies of answerbooks to the students. This decision has been submitted for the opinion of the law department.

As per the decision, the students will have to pay around rupees 35 for the photocopies and the students will be able to take away their copies of answerbooks with them.

While the previous secretary of the board Shri. K.N Subhash (now posted at Goa College of Engineering as HOD of Mining Engineering) had created absurd Board Rules,restricting the access to the answerbooks to inspection and keeping the fees for inspection ridiculously high i.e about rupees 350 for  around 16 pages.

Shri.K.NSubhash went to the extent of justifying his farcical actions with justifications that if students are allowed to take the certified copies with them, the "vadapav" and "grocery" vendors will profit by using the answerbooks for wrapping grocery items and vadapav. And the justification for keeping very high fees was to prevent “Casual applicants” this was without regard to the under privileged students, which also means the ones with lot of money are  “Serious applicants” .it is not amusing that such persons as Shri.K.N Subhash  are holding the positions of such a great responsibility  such as Secretaries of the Educational Organizations and Head of Department of Mining Department at Goa Engineering College.

Shri.N.V.T Pednekar has requested for the opinion of the Law Department with respect to the Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in CBSE Vs Aditya BAndopadhay,for clarification regarding whether the certified copies has to be provided to students as per the judgment.
